How many kinds of PVC-U Windows and Doors are there?
There are many different types of PVC-U windows and doors available today, and while they all provide the same key benefits described in the ‘Understanding PVC-U Windows and Doors’ section, they are all slightly different in what they do, and how they work.
Top Swing Windows
Top Swing Windows are another of the products used most commonly in high rise applications. Unlike the Tilt and Turn Window however, this kind of product does not come into the room, but turns within the axis of its own hinge mechanism. When rotate fully, this windows reverses fully (and is often called a reverseable window) to allow safe cleaning from the inside. Once ‘reversed’ it will lock in position so that cleaning can be carried out safely.
These windows are capable of including multi point high security locking, locking or non locking handles, child restrictors, egress hinges, night ventilation and permanent ventilation.
