How many kinds of PVC-U Windows and Doors are there?

There are many different types of PVC-U windows and doors available today, and while they all provide the same key benefits described in the ‘Understanding PVC-U Windows and Doors’ section, they are all slightly different in what they do, and how they work.

Casement Windows are the traditional ‘English’ opening out window, and can be either ‘Top Hung’ which means that the window opens from the bottom, or ‘Side Hung’ which means that the window can open out from either the left hand side or the right hand side depending on which hinge is chosen.
These windows are capable of including multi point high security locking, locking or non locking handles, restricted hinges, egress hinges, night ventilation and permanent ventilation
Casement Windows are traditionally used for single storey and two storey properties only, and are not generally suitable for use above this level.
