The market is witnessing an increased use of coloured foils for bespoke projects

The market is witnessing a marked growth in the use of coloured foils, not only in private sector housebuilding and commercial projects, but also in new build for the public sector. Much of this growth is at the expense of traditional aluminium specifications, and a proportion of timber.

The drivers behind this trend appear to be twofold. In the case of coloured foils, it is quite simply the case that more and more architects and specifiers are waking up to the fact that colours can be achieved in PVC-U. Hitherto, it has generally been perceived that ‘PVC-U equals white.

The specifier is setting and keeping pace with what’s in vogue at the time and best suits the building type and design being applied. A timber effect may be the desired choice, however the specifier wants the superior benefits of PVC-U.  Foils supply the perfect solution.
