Vertical sliding window

image of vertical slider windowsVertical sliding windows, a feature of many of the UK's distinguished older residential properties and public buildings, have not been easy to replace when they fall into a state of disrepair.

Specifying a like for like replacement, especially in a sensitive area, leaves many architects and specifiers looking at a timber replacement, but often unable to obtain a suitable quality of product.  PVC-U in this situation has traditionally been regarded as being unsuitable because it has not before captured the ‘real’ look of the original designs or because of concerns about the suitability of the material itself.
Today, however, there are new vertical sliding windows, which not only have the design characteristics of their traditional timber counterparts, but are also recognised for being able to provide a higher technical performance. Increasingly clients are recognising the attributes of the PVC-U version of the Sliding Sash window, and are specifying the product even in areas deemed to be ‘sensitive’.
The new PVC-U versions have been designed in extensive consultation with major clients who recognise the best value option they provide, whilst not compromising the essential appeal of the traditional appearance and functionality.

Key Features of the PVC-U Vertical Slider include:-
